1 Introduction This document describes the AnT-demos, which show some of the features of the AnT 4.669 software package. 2 System requirements For starting the demos please make sure, that the AnT 4.669 software package is installed on your system. If the AnT 4.669 software package is not installed, please install it according to the installation instructions in the README file available at the download section. The demos require the visualization tool gnuplot (version 3.7) which will be installed on your computer together with the AnT 4.669 software package. 3 How to start the demos In the installation folder AnT 4.669 you will find the folder demos. If you switch to the folder systems therein, you will find further folders corresponding to the available demo systems. To start a demo, you have to execute the run_demo batch file in one of the demo folders of your chosen system. After you have double-clicked on the run_demo icon, a window will pop up where the status messages are displayed. After a short time, which of course depends on the performance of your system and the chosen demo, a gnuplot window pops up and you can see the results of the calculations. If you click on the ok button of the gnuplot window it will disappear and a new gnuplot window pops up with further results. This will continue until the complete demo is finished. After completion of the demo you may close also the window with the status messages by hitting any key. After the execution of the demo you will find files with the suffix tna in the directory corresponding to the demo. These files are output files produced by the AnT computation engine. They contain the data which were visualized by the gnuplot program during the demo. Of course you can visualize the data also with other programs. One more file was produced during the simulation namely the file out.log. It contains logging information of the simulation run. You may delete all created files by executing the clean_demo batch file in the folder. The demos in the folders demo03 of the lorenz63 and roessler systems behave different, because they automatically invoke the OpenGL based visualization module of the AnT 4.669 software package. Here not only the status window pops up, but also three further windows of the AnT 4.669 visualization. You may click on the Start button in the main window to start the visualization. After the completion of the visualization demo or by quitting it, you may close also the window with the status messages by hitting any key.
